I remember planning for this trip last April with my titas and mamamia. We were having our brunch when all of a sudden, I opened the laptop and checked for seat sales. A month later, tita Ela, Balong and Jimela flew to Manila and we are set for our Footloose Adventure for 2012. We’ve had several arguments whether to go for MNL- TAG- CEB-MNL or MNL-CEB-TAG-MNL and decided to go for the later. We took the 1st trip out of Manila to Cebu to maximize our time.

After about an hour and a half, we landed in Cebu. We waited for the transpo service we contacted to take us to the pension house near Osmena Circle. To our surprise, the agent my brother contacted failed to reserve rooms for us. It would be just fine to get a new room if we weren’t talking about 14 pax. So I decided to cross the street and inquire for a barkadahan room availability. They offered a room that has 2 T&B which could accommodate all of us. Due to time constraint, we said yes and left our bags and set off to our Cebu tour.

We had a twin city tour of Cebu. Visiting churches and other famous tourist spots. I insisted to have our lunch at Manna SutuKil. After lunch we headed back to the pension house and rested for the afternoon. After dinner, we went for a walk and decided to have a massage.

We woke up early the following day and made sure we make it to the port for the 1st trip to Bohol. We first set of to Panglao Island to check-in at Alona Studios then started our Country Side Tour.

My cousins really enjoyed the view, however, they felt really tired before we even had our lunch.  Our driver made sure that we are on time for the lunch cruise at Loboc River. Aside from being tired, we surely were hungry too.

We stayed at Alona Studios for the rest of trip. I chose the place since we were looking for a quite yet accessible place. Well, many may say it’s not a beachfront accommodation and it’s about 5 minutes walk to the beach but we preferred to stay there. We loved the pool and the seclusion of the place.

The beach wasn’t that good during our visit due to the recent typhoon but as expected, it didn’t stop us from having fun!

There were a lot of things going on that week. A lot of plannings and a lot of places we wish to visit together. I would say we were successful in two of them, 1st  was the Bohol trip and 2nd was our Sky Adventure Experience.

From work, we ended up strolling Ayala Center Cebu to kill time. We decided to go home and rest for a while at La Guardia Flats, Lahug. We agreed to meet at the common area at around 5:30pm and leave for our Sky Adventure. We thought we won’t push through with the night out since it was raining hard up until 5:00pm, but as soon as the rain stopped, we asked the guard on duty to call a cab because we are not stomped by the rain.

Wacky pose??

I have been explaining to the taxi drive that we need to get to the Crown Regency that offers Skywalk and Edge Coaster ride but he kept on asking which Crown since there are a lot of crown Hotels in Cebu. I explained how this place is near the circle and alas! Manong knew where to go.

i look so nervous in this pic…

From the main entrance, we went directly to the other tower and got in an elevator until 19th FLoor. This is where we paid our tickets. From the 19th floor, another elevator ride is waiting to take you to the 37th floor for skywalk.

We took the package and made sure to have the buffet included as we are all starving by the time we finished our walk.

My motivation as per my peers —- APPROVED VL!!

We know we were leaving for Cebu but no one planned. Yep! This is a backpacker trip. No reservation, no tour guide, just us and a new Cebu Map from National Bookstore!

Straight from work, we headed off to the airport for our trip. And just as when we thought there is no hope, our celphones have enough batteries for picture taking!!!

First flight out of Manila bound to Cebu ~~~

From Mactan Airport, we rented an inova to take us to Cebu. We specifically told manong to take us to Robinson’s near “Cebu Doctors” (as far as i can rememeber, this was what Jamez told me). We thought we were at the right place, but we were not.

Since this is a backpacker trip, the kids and mami dionisia had no choice but to follow me and Jix. It’s kinda stressfull hearing them complain, so Jix and I decided to ask them to wait for us somewhere else as we are to look for a pension house on the other side of the street.

They went back to the main street and waited for us in McDo. Well, Jixs and I continued walking and to check on a pension house that offers a family room good for about 9-10 peeps. (3 blocks covered!!)

So we met with them at Mcdo and told them we found one ~~ Travel Bee. We were so tired not just because we were walking around but because it was sooooo hot!!

Well, our 1st day was spent on finding a pension house, resting at the pension house, studying the map of Cebu and dinner at AA’s BBQ house.

For the next days of this trip, we will be going around exploring the beauty Cebu Offers!!
