The Cast

On a Thursday shift, I called for a quick huddle. I have to ask to support team for two questions. First, who is willing to help on Saturday night to cover for nesting extension. We need 3 RDOTs from the SME team to help out Bree and her class.  I was not disappointed as hands were raised and RDOT takers were listed.

Then I had to ask the most important question. Who will be joining us this weekend for Alcoy trip?  (LOL – kinda misleading? IKR?)

We agreed for a cheap dust of Php500  initial contribution per head. Yosh served to be our treasurer and Sexy as the disbursing officer. I was late on our marketing schedule, I didn’t make it at 10am and arrived at around 12noon.

Call time is 2pm at La Guardia flats and as expected we didn’t leave on time. The expected 3hours drive turned to be 4 hours. We even had time to stop in Carcar to get some Lechon and send money via Mlhuiller.

We stayed in Dalaguete for the night. Thanks to RC and his family for accommodating us. I was the master chef for the night. We prepared all the food, dinner, snacks, “pulutan” and “baon”. After dinner, we stayed up a bit longer. Yeah, singing,  drinking and playing with the hammock.

The best video of the night award goes to —- James Bobiles, for the boys’ cover of Get Down by BSB.

Obong Spring

The following morning, everyone is up at exactly 430am. Breakfast is being prepared and our “baons” as well. We had a taste of their local “puto” with syrup that we ordered the night before. We set off to Obong Spring before 7am and had our breakfast. Entrance Fee and Parking Fee is very cheap at Php25. Manang, owner of the tiangge, is also prepared for any possible needs — yosi , soda, lighter, uling, etc.

Just like Boracay!!

After breakfast, we headed off to the public beach of Tingko and surprisingly, it does not look like a public beach at all!!

We paid Php20 per head for the use of the beach and additional Php300 for tables. Overnight stay is also available for Php1500 charge for cottage use or if youre a backpacker, tent usage is Php150.

We had to go back to Cebu before 4pm as some of us needs to report to work by 12am.
